Bianca Herbert is a nationally known performer, adjudicator and clinician in top festivals, and concert series. She has been teaching piano, violin, viola, cello and voice for 10 years. She is now currently a member of the Aurora Music Teachers Association, the Colorado State Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association & the Denver Musicians Association. She attended the University of Northern Colorado for a Bachelor's degree in Music with a minor in Theatre. While at UNC, she was also an integral part of the Opera, Musical Theatre, Theater & Jazz Programs where she was also awarded various Downbeat Magazine Awards.

Bianca, along with her husband Joe, formed a professional music group called Groove Society. The group has appeared at major international festivals across the Mainland U.S., Hawaii, and Canada. Groove Society has shared the billing with, and/or opened for top artists including Bonnie Raitt, Herbie Hancock, Bobby McFerrin, The Neville Brothers, Paquito D’Rivera, Freddy Cole, Patty Austin, The Rippingtons, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Styx, and many more.

She also performed with a Latin & Mariachi band using her instrumental background in piano and violin and expanded her vocal techniques by singing in Spanish and Portuguese. She was also the Entertainment Director at one of Colorado’s most popular tourist attractions. There she  produced several musical revue shows involving an eclectic range of music from the 20th century including 40’s big band, classic rock and rock & roll. Bianca was also involved in a promotional for a sister station for NBC and has done commercial and studio work for select companies around Colorado including the WB network and Comcast Digital cable.

Matt Murphy has been an active player on drums and vocal percussion in Colorado for over twelve years, and has been the the winner of various awards including the Wes Carroll Best Vocal Percussionist Award and the International Jazz Educators' Association for Outstanding Education.  Ever since studying with Mike Marlier at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music, and Paul Romain, two of the top drummers in Denver, he has played in a variety of musical groups ranging from jazz to rock to hip-hop and a cappella.  He has opened for a variety of A list musicians including The New York Voices, The Bad Plus, Herbie Hancock, Bonnie Raitt, and others. 

Matt has been teaching drums and percussion for ten years and has developed a unique style that not only ensures the student's reinforcement of basic technique and exercises, but also develops the student's instinct in playing with a group.  During an average lesson, the first half is dedicated to the coordination exercises required for playing a drum set, and then their application in grooves.  For the remaining time, the student practices these grooves while playing with Matt on either guitar or piano so as to get a feel for the dynamic of a band setting.  He is thoroughly engaged in the music community and can help the student get in touch with other musicians and club owners that can get the student gigging and out into the real world of musicianship.  He teaches either at his studio or is willing to travel to students' homes.
