June 10th

 

* review the Keys in order then the Sharps in order.  Think in 5th's going up the keyboard.

 

1) C# Arpeggio - (3 notes are C#, E# & G#)

    -Rule #1 - Right Hand start with 4th finger & Left Hand start with 2nd finger

    -Rule #2 - Thumbs have to be on a white key

    -Rule #3 - NO 3rd or 5th fingers

    -Rule #4 - Remember your 3 notes!!!

    RIGHT HAND - 4 (C#) - 1 (E#) - 2(G#) - 4 (C#)

    LEFT HAND - 2 (C#) - 1 (E#) - 4 (G#) - 2 (C#)

*If you decide to put hands together, remember that you thumbs will end up on a E#

 

2) C# Scale                                                                   (always higher white key)

    F#-Scale & F#-Arpeggio (F#, A#, C#) - 2 octaves  (always alternating white keys)

    B-Scale & B-Arpeggio (B, F#, D#) - 2 octaves        (always the lower white key)

     E-Scale & E-Arpeggio (E, G#, B) - 2 octaves

     A-Scale & A-Arpeggio (A, C#, E) - 2 octaves

     D-Scale & D-Arpeggio (D, F#, A) - 2 octaves

     G-Scale & G-Arpeggio (G, B, D) - 2 octaves

    C-Scale & C-Arpeggio (C, E, G)- 2 octaves

 

3) F Arpeggio

    -Remember your 3 notes (F, A & C)

    -Thumbs need to be on F as you go up the arpeggio

    -No 4th fingers

 

4) F Scale (remember you have a Bb and it replace B natural)

     HANDS SEPARATELY (be kind to yourself and avoid doing them together)

    -Left hand follows the 3-4-3 rule

    -Right hand follow the 4-3-4 rule (meaning you change with the 4th first) & you end

     up on your 4th finger at the top of the scale

 

5) Lesson Book pg. 51 & 59 (STOP LOOKING AS YOU PLAY)

 

6) Theory pg. 53

 

7) Notespeller pg. 19
