2) SIGHT SINGING - Please play and sing ALL 1 octave Scales & Arpeggios!!!
Find songs for all interval up and down (reference Theory book 2 pg. 60
*sing the scales and arpeggios when you practice piano a) Look at the key signature (is it Major or Minor) b) Is the first note & the last note and see if it's the root of key signature c) Look for scales and arpeggios d) Hum the scale & arpeggio over and over (5 times) e) Look for accidentals f) address the tempo & time signature g) Right before you sing take deep and big breath
PIANO 1) Scales & Arpeggios C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, C#, F- 2 octaves with both hands (*say the notes out loud as you play them if you are struggling)
2) Find any Major, Minor, Diminished & Augmented chord and play through
3) Piano pg. 95 (hands separately only!)
4) Theory - pg. 95-98 Sight Singing Rules: (find your songs SONG LIST) - Look at the key signature - Get the first note and look to see if it's the root, if it's not figure out the interval - Get the last note and see if it's the root as well - Look at the time signature and search for tough rhythms - Once you figure the first note, sing up and down the scale (follow major or minor) - Then also sing the arpeggio of the scale - Then look for large jumps for intervals
