Stretching - body, face, neck & soft pallat

breathing is at 34 (with metronome at 80)

 

1) Lesson Book pg. 124-125 & 135

 

2) Theory - REVIEW UNIT 9  (great flashcard website)

 

3) C, G, D, A, E, B, F# Scale & Arpeggios - 2 octaves

 

4) C#-Scale & Arpeggio (C#, E#, G#)

    - Start: RH 4th Finger & LH 2nd Finger (NO 3rd or 5th Finger)

    - Thumb goes to E# ONLY

 

5) F-Scale - LH starts on the 5th finger & RH starts on the 3rd finger

    -THINK OPPOSITES.

    -When going up the RH follows the LH & going down the LH follows the RH

 

6) F-Arpeggio - Plays just like a regular arpeggio

 

7) Bb Scale

    - Start: LH 3rd Finger & RH 4th finger

    - When hand is on the 3rd finger the other hand should be on the 4th finger

    - Don't let yourself skip fingers

 

7) Bb Arpeggio - Both hands start on 3 and your 3 notes are (Bb, D, F)

 

8) Theory - pg. 83-84

 

9) Songs - What I did for Love -Sing whole song on vowels (ee-ah-ah-oh-oo)

    - Clap your own part with a metronome and really work out the tough sections

    - Play your own part on the piano with a metronome without singing

    - Then memorize the words first (work out acting - verbing)

    - Then play your part on the piano and sing along with words memorized
